8a Tick List: Easy onsights or Best quality Mar 16, 2010
> View News Content

For all climbs in the data base, you can for every crag and grade list the routes with the highest onsight index and star average. This could give a suggestion which climbs you should try on your trip. You can print out Tick List and you can also upload them to your mobile. Some of the routes have been rated very poorly on star average and on onsight index, but nevertheless, have many ascents. This is of course an indication that they are super soft :-)

Vojtech Vrzba reports that Adam Ondra has repeated Golpe de Estado, 9b in Siurana. "He was in Siurana 4 weeks ago and tried this route but after finger and tendon injury in his forearm, he went back to Czech Republic. After couple of weeks of healing and school, he returned to Siurana." 8 nice pictures of the ascent can be found rotating on the first page - click to make them bigger. This was the first 9b for the 17-year-old, who in the last 12 months has done 16 routes of 9a or harder. In total, he has done 34 routes of 9a or harder! His first 9a was at the age of 13. Adam Ondra comments the 9b ascent Mar 15, 2010
> View News Content

Adam Ondra has recorded his 1 051 ascent in his scorecard, Golpe de Estado, 9b and comments. "HUGE relief for me, mission accomplished despite various obstacles - notoriously strong wind, injury, flu and stomach ache just before the second trip (thus I was out of shape). After first day in the route I did not expect I would have to dedicate so much time, but proved to be really hard and mischievous. 29 tries (mental torture for me!) during 14 days, but some days only go when I found out it is just too windy to climb at 6th bolt. I do not say it is hard 9b after breaking the hold, but 100% it is 9b now (a bit harder than Marina)." The very first interview with 11-year-old Adam Ondra.
