Which type of training is best for swimming? Should I train long, train fast, or train to be efficient? To train faster means taking more rest between shorter repeats. Once we arrived, I saw the sea conditions. My fears were surfacing as each wave crashed and rippled toward shore. I made the decision to be a good role model for my child and conquer some fears. I was the first one at sign up for the 750M swim. I greeted everyone and voiced my anxiety over the rough seas; many had the same retort - I no longer felt I was going to be the only open water swimmer afraid of what was to come.

The 2010 NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) men's and NCAA women's swimming and diving championship swim meets are among the many March Madness NCAA events.     Dana Vollmer Wins Double Gold as the 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet Concludes Mar 07, 2010

    Dana Vollmer had a strong night in the pool Saturday, taking home two gold medals on the final night of competition at the 2010 Austin Grand Prix Swim Meet. Vollmer won both the 200m fly and 100m free, an event in which she also set a pool record. Olympic gold medalist Rebecca Soni also broke a pool record with her swim in the 200m breast.

    The 2010 USA Swimming Grand Prix Swim Meet Series continues April 1-3 with the 2010 Columbus Grand Prix in Columbus, Ohio, which is the third stop of the eight-meet series. The winner of the Series will be awarded $20,000 at the final Grand Prix Swim Meet held in Los Angeles, July 8-11.
